SAWGRASS NATURE CENTER'S NEW WETLANDS WILL BE A "LIVING CLASSROOM"
Full Description:
With every scoop made by a rumbling trackhoe, injured turtles and waterbirds came closer this week to having a new home at the Sawgrass Nature Center.
Its planners envision a "living classroom" where kids will be able to chase frogs, study turtles and do some bird watching. In three days, workers built a three-tiered waterfall with a pump system, a shallow turtle pond and a walkway of meandering stepping stones.
