The City of Coral Springs has designated October as Energy Awareness month and October 4 as Energy Star Change a Light Day.
As a driver of the pledge, the government urges residents to make a "pledge" and replace at least one incandescent bulb or fixture with one that has the Government's Energy Star Mark.
