Police offer free classes in rape defense at library
Women interested in learning more about self-defense can enroll in a program offered by the Coral Springs Police Department.
Rape Aggression Defense is a nationally recognized program designed to teach realistic self-defense and techniques for women. The class, for ages 14 and older, teaches educational and physical skills, through emphasis on simple strikes, kicks, blocks and defensive posture.
The classes are free and offered at the Northwest Regional Library, 3151 University Drive. Class will meet from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. four consecutive Tuesdays starting Febraury 6.
